Registration process
Would be applicants should first read the introductory letter.
All applicants for registration must complete the relevant Registration Portfolio Form, and provide appropriate supporting documentation. There are different forms for healthcare professionals and for social care professionals. Click at the bottom of this page to choose the set of registration documents appropriate for you.
There are a variety of routes of formal training and/or practical experience by which professionals can achieve competence in their fields. The application process, and the manner in which individual applications are assessed, have been carefully established in a way which should enable each applicant to demonstrate his or her suitability to be entered on the Register. The respective Guidance Notes set out all this, and we recommend you study this document carefully together with the Registration Portfolio Form itself.
If you are considering registration, it is also very important that you carefully read, understand and agree with the Code of Practice appropriate to your discipline. Your formal commitment to abide by this is a key part of the application process.
Finally, the application fees and annual registration are set out in the Fees Paper.
