Our Legal Framework

Our Legal Framework

The CAHSC is the voluntary regulator for the anthroposophic health and social are professions in the UK & Ireland. Those who register with us are not required to do so by law in order to practise.

We were set up to help protect those who use the services of anthroposophic health and social care professionals in the UK and Ireland.  Those who register with us do so voluntarily. They are not required to do so by law.

Practitioners join our register to:

  • demonstrate that they practise the anthroposophic approach to health & social care
  • promote good practice in anthroposophic health and social care
  • assure the public that they are competent and safe in their practice
  • support the practise of professional self-regulation

Some of our registrants belong to professions which are also statutorily regulated. To register with us they must first be registered with the relevant statutory regulator.  For these registrants our function is to set standards for the anthroposophic elements of their professional practice.
